You can use Premiere Pro, After Effects or both. Your Adobe apps need their own Adobe subscription.
Some features depend on what Adobe's scripting allows in your version. When something isn't possible in your version, Cutline tells you and explains how to do it by hand.
AI app
Cutline runs on your own AI account. AI usage isn't included with Cutline.

Tips for your AI allowance:
- Looking at frames, watching YouTube videos and reading very long timelines use more of it.
- On long sequences, ask about a time range rather than the whole thing.
Licence
You need a Cutline licence key, or nothing at all for the 7-day free trial. See Licence and devices.
Not needed
- Terminal or command-line tools.
- Adobe debug mode or developer settings.
- A separate Adobe extension installer.
