Who you're dealing with
Cutline is made by the Cutline team ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@cutlineai.com, and we reply from that address.
Gumroad sells Cutline on our behalf as the merchant of record, so your purchase, payment, tax and receipt are handled by Gumroad. We're registering Cutline as a UK company, and we'll add the company name, number and registered address to this page as soon as that's done.
Buying Cutline
- Gumroad sells it. When you buy Cutline, you buy through Gumroad, which acts as the reseller. Gumroad takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt and licence key. Gumroad's own terms cover the payment.
- Prices are shown on the checkout page before you pay, including any tax.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time from the link in your Gumroad receipt or your Gumroad library. Cutline keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Price changes. If we change a subscription price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before then.
- Founding Edition is a one-off payment for a lifetime licence, limited to the first 50 sold. It includes every future update to Cutline. The licence agreement explains what "lifetime" covers, including when Adobe or AI apps change.
- Free trials last for the period shown at checkout. If a trial asks for payment details and you don't cancel before it ends, your first payment is taken when it ends.
Your right to cancel
If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, the law usually gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because Cutline is supplied straight away, that legal right ends once you install or activate Cutline, and you agree to that when you buy.
We give you more than the law does anyway. See the refund policy: a full refund on request within 14 days of your first payment.
What you need
Cutline needs a Mac, Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects (tested on the latest versions), and the Claude desktop app on a paid Claude plan, which you pay for separately. It doesn't work with other AI apps, such as ChatGPT, yet. Check the requirements before you buy. We can't refund your Adobe or AI subscriptions.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect purchases made before them.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes about them. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local law and can use your local courts.
